Multicultural Project

My topic will be centered around myself, obviously it won't be how I like my eyes and what not, it will branch out to what makes me who I am. I will be the cener and there will be a portion about my family, who they are and how that makes me, me. There will be a portion about what I am involved in at school and how that shapes me. There will be a portion about how my friends see me, how they helped me find out the person that I am. Basically I am my inspiration. I will interview club sponsors, family members, and my friends. It will include stories about our epirences together and how my life has changed or I have changed since I have known them. Not sure what I would do as an alternate project if this one falls through. I had a hard enought time coming up with this topic so I don't know what I would do instead maybe something about Speech Pathology.

Is Google Making Us Stupid?

I rely on Google for basically everything. If I have a question and no one can answer it I turn to Google. My phone is powered by Google so if I need to know something I just use the search button on  my phone and there is m answer. Google has become my source for basically everything that I need to know.
"For me, as for others, the Net is becoming a universal medium, the conduit for most of the information that flows through my eyes and ears and ino my mind." This quote is so accurate. I don't watch the news on TV anymore and I don't hear new songs on the radio, I Google them. If someone says something about something interesting, I'll Google it. If I hear someone talking about a new song, I will Google it. Google is kind of taking over my life, but I can't say that I am mad about it.
If Google wasn't around then I would have to look for things in books or actually watch the news and that does not interest me. Google is a way to get information quick and in our fast paced society today Google is like a godsend. I know that Google is probably ruining me but I can't say that I mind because the information is easy to get to.

Reflection

My topic was pretty easy to pick because I picked something is not only prevalent on TV but in our school, teen pregnancy. I love that you gave us so much time to work on it; however, I wasted my time every class period and got on Pintrest, which is an evil, evil website. I ended up writing my paper on Saturday and peer conferencing on Sunday.
After I picked my topic I got discouraged because there was like no evidence for the side that I chose. I sat by Marissa and she kept finding great evidence for her side and I was finding sites that would say that the rates were increasing but when you actually went to the site, the chart showed them decreasing. At that point I was like I am not going to do this now, I will just do it later; I even took a day off work to write it and still didn’t do it. Instead of writing my paper I watched TV, got on Pintrest, chewed a whole role of bubble tape, and tried blue and red eyeliner.
After I actually started working on my paper it was pretty easy to write, well after I found evidence to support my side that is.
