At the moment I am reading a book called Something Like Fate and I have no made it very far, basically because I haven't made time to read it lately. I am on chapter five, which is only 20 pages in. The cover of the book is what made me choose it; lets face it regardless of the saying "don't judge a book by its cover" we all do it and it just so happens that is how I pick what to read. So far in the book it has just been the two girl friends talking about their boy troubles and the boy and girl friend talking about a big secret. Nothing "juicy" has happened as of yet and if it doesn't soon I might have to pick a new book.
Page 8: "Erin is in love." That is the four words that start off chapter three and they make me laugh. Seriously you are in high school, you have no idea what love is, lust and infatuation definitely, but not love. The chapter goes on to talk about which boy it is this time, which is another thing that cracked me up, which one this time? Then it obviously is not love.
Page 18-19: "aceofwands: 'just a feeling. oh i told him i like him.' berrygirl: 'what happened to waiting for him to come to you?' aceofwands: 'i did! he's the one who called me, remember? so i was like, okay, he's putting himself out there, i can meet the boy halfway.'" This is another passage that cracks me up because why can't the boy just talk to you because he considers you a friend? In this book they think just because a boy calls you that he is putting himself out there which obviously means he is into you, so not the case.
I think I might end up not liking this book, not only does it seem to be all about the drama but it is kind of moving slow.
